Students who are having trouble with reading and other literacy skills may receive help from the specialized literacy teachers at the school as part of the Response to Intervention Model and/or as a component of their Individual Literacy Plan (ILP). Students who are significantly below grade level are required by Colorado state law to have an ILP. If a student is on an ILP (Individual Literacy Plan), help will be given to the student to raise his or her reading skill.  Parents are involved in the development of the ILP, and it is reviewed twice a year.
