Literacy

​​Eisenhower focuses on helping students grow into literate members of a dynamic learning community. We emphasize developing strategic, active, lifelong readers and writers. Through a continual development of oral language using the reading and writing process, students build on foundational skills in every grade level. They read literature and informational texts that sustain their literacy growth and success. Our continual emphasis on literacy ignites students’ intellectual curiosity and expands their knowledge of the world. We strive for our students to believe in themselves and their ability to use literacy for lifelong learning and enjoyment.
